Description
Description — E-11 BACN/HAG
Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) provides a Combatant Commander (CCDR) flexible, long-endurance, responsive airborne communications capability. BACN provides a dedicated airborne capability to conduct voice bridging/translation, Tactical Data Link (TDL) gateway, and TDL relay functions for beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) data communications for the war fighter. Any future procurements include host platform aircraft as well as the purchase/integration of BACN payload capability, emerging capabilities, and Supplemental Type Certs (STC) and any related provisioning supplies. It would also provide associated systems and initial maintenance and sustainment support as well as any associated program support costs as required.
