Description
Description — BIOMETRIC TACTICAL COLLECTION DEVICES
The Next Generation Biometric Collection Capability (NXGBCC) program will procure, test, field, and sustain biometric collection devices to support Army force protection and identity intelligence operations. NXGBCC is the replacement for the current Biometric Automated Toolset-Army (BAT-A) program of record that is reaching obsolescence. The program will leverage commercial technology to provide a software-based solution to collect, submit, and match face, finger, iris, and voice biometric modalities. NXGBCC is a key enabler for joint forces to conduct force protection and identity intelligence activities including identification of combatants, management of enemy prisoners of war, and to account for detainees, displaced persons, and refugees during Large Scale Combat Operations. This program is included in the OPA Budget Line Consolidation. In FY 2025, the CI/HUMINT EQUIPMENT PROGRAM-ARMY (CIHEP-A) (B75200) and BIOMETRICS AUTOMATED TOOLSET - ARMY (BAT-A) (BK5300) were consolidated into the COLLECTION CAPABILITY (B87000) program.

This program is included in the OPA Budget Line Consolidation. In FY 2025, the CI/HUMINT EQUIPMENT PROGRAM-ARMY (CIHEP-A) (B75200) and BIOMETRICS AUTOMATED TOOLSET - ARMY (BAT-A) (BK5300) were consolidated into the COLLECTION CAPABILITY (B87000) program. FY 2026 Funding has been realigned to B87000/B87011 in accordance with Army request for Budget Line Consolidation.
