Description USCENTCOM

PE 0201122F US Central Command (USCENTCOM) COMMUNICATIONS USCENTCOM directs and enables military operations and activities with allies and partners to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S interests focusing on deterring Iran, and countering violent extremist organizations, competing strategically. The Middle East is an area facing ongoing challenges from regional instability and violent extremists, making USCENTCOM's mission essential to mitigating Direct War Enduring Costs (DWEC). To effectively execute this mission across such a vast geographical expanse, HQ USCENTCOM relies heavily on robust Command, Control, Communications, and Computer (C4) systems. These systems are crucial for achieving full-spectrum information superiority. Procurement funding for PE 0201122F focuses on upgrading USCENTCOM's Command and Control (C2) Systems to maintain this critical information advantage. This includes replacing end-of-life C2 systems (thin clients, servers, etc.), Joint Information Environment (JIE) infrastructure, and classified and unclassified voice, data, and video dissemination systems. A key component of this upgrade involves modernizing Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure and bolstering mission partner networks. This includes, but is not limited to, the CENTCOM Partner Network (CPN), CENTCOM Partner Network Episodic (CPN-X), and Mission Partner Environment Information System (MPE-IS). These secure networks facilitate bilateral and multilateral information sharing up to the SECRET RELEASABLE level with coalition partners. To further enhance C4 capabilities, procurement funding will also transition USCENTCOM's communication architecture to the Command's Collaborative Partner Environment (CPE). The CPE provides seamless access to data and applications across multiple devices and networks, directly enabling USCENTCOM's C2 capabilities and supports the accelerated decision-making and targeting cycles envisioned by the Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) concepts. Additionally, procurement funding will assist in USCENTCOM procuring land-based spectrum monitoring nodes that capture (blue, gray, red) radio signal to enable near-real time awareness of the Electromagnetic operational environment (EMOE) to enable freedom of maneuver in the Electromagnetic spectrum (EMS). Ultimately, this capability will prevent Electromagnetic interference (EMI) incidents, enable validation of EMS usage and availability, and support Predeployment Site Survey (PDSS) efforts. Lastly by receiving procurement funding, USCENTCOM Command & Control, Communications and Computers System Directorate (CCJ6) can address critical data storage requirements. In addition, it will support maximum data storage capacity for headquarter war records collection and provide an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) for the command's collateral classified and unclassified data networks. Funding for this effort is contained in PE 0201122F US Central Command (USCENTCOM) Communications. PE 0201131F Service Support (SVC SPT) to USCENTCOM Communications (SVC SPT USCENTCOM COMMS) This PE, also known as US Air Force Central (AFCENT) Communications, is a Service Component Command (SCC) directly supporting USCENTCOM air operations in their deployed theaters. The success of both USCENTCOM and AFCENT within this complex Area of Responsibility (AOR) relies heavily on robust C4 systems funded through Overseas Operations Costs (OOC). These systems are crucial for achieving full-spectrum information superiority, enabling air domain awareness, and securing expeditionary bases and locations. The funding for this PE focuses on procuring and modernizing critical Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4) systems. This includes replacing end-of-life Command & Control (C2) systems that enable air domain awareness, implementing zero-trust architecture and cloud-based IT management, and upgrading classified and unclassified voice, data, and video storage and dissemination systems. Finally, this funding prioritizes acquiring small, portable, tactical radar systems for counter-unmanned aerial system (c-UAS) detection and enhanced battlespace awareness. Funding will also support the acquisition of explosive detection technology to mitigate vehicle-borne improvised explosive threats at expeditionary locations within the USCENTCOM AOR. Funding for this effort is contained in PE 0201131F Service Support (SVC SPT) to USCENTCOM Communications (SVC SPT USCENTCOM COMMS)

PE 0201122F US Central Command (USCENTCOM) Communications In FY 2026, USCENTCOM will continue transitioning all networking, computer-based operations, and secure information to a hybrid multi-cloud architecture. This transition supports USCENTCOM's two headquarters, a Pentagon liaison office, Security Cooperation Organizations (SCO) sites, and a data backup/disaster recovery (DR) location (SITE X). This hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure ensures real-time data access and enables efficient Command and Control (C2) capabilities across all locations. Currently, the headquarters for USCENTCOM staff supports 18 networks encompassing a minimum of 10,250 user accounts, computers, and peripherals. These networks include SIPRNet, NIPRNet, and multiple bilateral and multinational coalition networks. FY 2026 funding will also further the development of the USCENTCOM Collaborative Partner Environment (CPE) network, consolidating numerous coalition/partner networks to create a more responsive and flexible mission command capability with a focus on zero-trust and data centricity The FY 2026 request for USCENTCOM Comm includes $2000 thousand of discretionary funding. PE 0201131F Service Support to USCENTCOM Communication FY 2026 procurement funds for Service Support to USCENTCOM focused on modernizing key infrastructure and capabilities across the Area of Responsibility (AOR). First, base Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) infrastructure will be modernized at multiple locations to support the USCENTCOM Theater Posture Plan (TPP) and align with the Joint Information Environment mandate. This includes funding new air domain awareness technologies and replacing aging Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems. The datalink communications network, crucial for maintaining air domain awareness across the AOR, will also receive upgrades to comply with mandates from the National Security Agency, National Telecommunications and Information Agency, and the Federal Aviation Agency for Crypto Modernization and Frequency Remapping capabilities. To enhance Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, funding will support acquiring a portable family of radars for rapid and precise detection and tracking of airborne targets, including general aviation aircraft and other potential threats. These radars provide active detection, accurate target position information, and in-flight tracking. Finally, to strengthen Communications Protective Measures, funding will prioritize installing Explosive Detection Technology (EDT) at main Air Expeditionary Wings (AEWs) to prevent vehicle-borne improvised explosive threats, supporting Air Force Operational Order and Air Force Instruction security mandates (OPORD 05-04 and DAFI31-101). These investments enhance security, information sharing, and provide a decisive advantage in a complex and dynamic AOR.
