Description
Description — Intelligence Training Equipment
The Intelligence Training Equipment P-1 line procures equipment for use in initial and advanced training in the General Intelligence and Cryptologic and Signals Intelligence related career fields. The equipment supports training for intelligence officers, geospatial analysts, targeteers, operations analysts, ground and airborne language analysts, airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance analysts, network analysts, and all communications (except communications security) and electronic intelligence analysts. The systems support multiple intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance applications. The major focus of the systems is to provide the sole source for functional training on the newest generation of intelligence systems with an emphasis on computer-based training systems through modeling and simulation, as well as live, virtual, and constructive capabilities. This equipment is critical in preparing military intelligence personnel to support warfighting commanders and the National Intelligence Program (NIP). The equipment supports enterprise-wide intelligence training for Air Force (AF), Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Joint/Coalition partner personnel at Goodfellow Air Force Base (GAFB), Texas. Justification — Intelligence Training Equipment
PE 0804733F GENERAL INTELLIGENCE SKILL TRAINING GOODFELLOW INTELLIGENCE TRAINING ARCHITECTURE (GITA) FY2026 funding will be used on the GITA infrastructure to modernize/upgrade the training network backbone and delivery systems supporting over 8,500 students annually. Upgrades ensure that GITA meets/exceeds the latest in cyber security requirements at each security level. GITA provides lifecycle support of the hardware and software required to deliver training designed to meet operational customer requirements. GITA encompasses the following: student workstations, network, servers, storage solutions, thin client technology, scenario-based modeling and simulation models (to include live, virtual, and constructive capabilities), courseware development software, delivery servers, application hardware, and networking equipment. GITA aligns technologies with advanced teaching techniques, increases system capabilities to support ever-evolving operational intelligence tools, and addresses uncertainty in continued sustainment capabilities to reduce failure rates and outages.
