Funds procurement of commercial microelectronics items within the FYDP.

Justification

Justification STRATEGIC MICROELECTRONIC SUPPLY SYSTEM

Strategic Microelectronic Supply Items FY25 funding will support procurement of commercial microelectronic items within the Future Year Defense Program (FYDP). Procurement of these items is necessary to ensure assets are available for on-going Department of Defense acquisition programs; to avoid breaks in program schedule or production quantities. This line item includes the Life of Type Buys of critical microelectronic components in advance of commercial manufacturing line closures. Detailed information is classified and will be provided on a need-to-know basis.
