SSN E48413 / SIMULATOR, INDOOR WEAPONS FIRE is a new start within the Simulators, All Types program in FY 2026 SSN E48415 / SIMULATOR, INCOMING ROCKET PROPELLED GRENADE (RPG) is a new start within the Simulators, All Types program in FY 2026 SSN E48416 / SIMULATOR, HIGH ORDER BLAST EFFECT (HIOBE) is a new start within the Simulators, All Types program in FY 2026 SSN E91112 / SIMULATOR, PROJECTILE GROUND BURST: MINI BLAST: XM is a new start within the Simulators, All Types program in FY 2026 This budget line includes Simulators, All Types. (E48413) SIMULATOR, INDOOR WEAPONS FIRE (MICRO) is an indoor weapon effects simulator for booby traps and gunfire. There are multiple shots per item. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E48415) SIMULATOR, INCOMING ROCKET PROPELLED GRENADE (RPG) simulates a rocket propelled grenade in training environments. The simulator produces rocket smoke trail guided on a wire. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E48416) SIMULATOR, HIGH ORDER BLAST EFFECT (HIOBE) simulates a high order blast effect or explosion. The simulator creates a reddish-orange ball of flame and airborne debris. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E48417) SIMULATOR, TARGET KILL, XM175 simulates a destroyed vehicle burning on the battlefield; black smoke with a burn time of 20 seconds. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E49700) SIMULATOR, Projectile Ground Burst, M115A2 is a hand thrown device that is used in training to simulate battlefield noise and effects (shell in flight and ground explosion) during troop maneuvers. The simulator has a 6-10 second delay followed by a 2-4 second whistle ending with a flash and loud report; the surface danger zone is 35 meters. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E50200) SIMULATOR, Hand Grenade, M116A1 is a hand-thrown device used in Force-on-Force training to simulate battlefield noise and effects of a hand grenade during troop maneuvers. It has a 5 to 10 second delay and a 15- meter surface danger zone. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E50311) SIMULATOR, CHEM ATTACK, YELLOW SMOKE simulates a nuclear, biological, radiological, or chemical (NBRC) attack on the battlefield; yellow smoke with a burn time of 10 seconds. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E70600) SIMULATOR, M22 Anti-Tank Weapon Effect Signature Simulator (ATWESS) Guided Missile (GM) Rocket Simulator is used to simulate the TOW, DRAGON or VIPER, including report, flash and smoke through use of an adapter. It is compatible with the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES). This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E88119) SIMULATOR, M34 Hostile Fire Simulator produces a flash and white smoke for simulation of tank gunfire at a distance. The cartridge is fired by the Omega 60 and the BES II launchers during Force-on-Target training scenarios. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E88125) SIMULATOR, M35 Target Hit, White Star Simulator produces a sound and white star for simulation of a target being hit by tank or artillery fire. The cartridge is fired by the Omega 60 and BES II launchers during Force-on-Target training scenarios. The cartridge produces a bang of 125 +/- 15 dB at a distance of 20 meters, expels about 8-12 burning stars visible at 1800 meters. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E88404) SIMULATOR, NON-STANDARD, SPECIAL EFFECTS FOR CTCS simulates gunfire, artillery fire, missile fire, burning vehicles, blast effects and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) attacks. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E91114) SIMULATOR, LAUNCHING, ANTITANK GUIDED MISSILE simulates the visible plume of a surface to air missile or shoulder launched rocket; has a visual signature of 1 burning star with white smoke trail which reaches 140 ft. before self-consuming. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E91112) / SIMULATOR, PROJECTILE GROUND BURST: MINIBLAST: XM183 simulates a blast effect or explosion. The simulator emits a large flash and bang. This item is Code A, approved for service use. (E91116) SIMULATOR, PROJECTILE AIR BURST, EXPLOSIVE: XM181 simulates indirect artillery fire; emits a paper projectile which whistles while ascending to a height of 100 - 150 ft. and has a visual flash and smoke report. This item is Code A, approved for service use.

Justification

Justification Simulators, All Types

The FY 2026 Budget supports critical Army Title 10 war reserve/operational, training, and test requirements in accordance with Department of Defense Instruction 3000.04 (Munitions Requirements Process) and Army Regulation 5-13 (Total Army Munitions Requirements Process and Prioritization System). War reserve requirements support Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) approved Combatant Commander Operational Plans, Homeland Defense, and other OSD-directed missions. Training requirements support individual and collective training of Active and Reserve Component forces at Army schools, home station, and the combined training centers. Test requirements support the development, fielding, safety, and quality assurance of Army munitions and equipment throughout their life cycle. In accordance with Section 1815 of the FY 2008 National Defense Authorization Act (P.L. 110-181), this item is necessary for use by the active and reserve components of the Armed Forces for homeland defense missions, domestic emergency responses, and providing military support to civil authorities. FY 2026 Total Base dollars in the amount of $10.821 million supports the procurement of ten variants of simulators. (E48413) - SIMULATOR, INDOOR WEAPONS FIRE (MICRO) This is a training unique item not used in combat. The FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds depot levels in accordance with Army procurement goals. Procurement dollars in the amount of $0.129 million supports the production of 585 simulators. E48413 is a new start in FY 2026. FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds a depot level in accordance with Army's procurement goals. FY 2026 Base procurement dollars in the amount of $0.576 million supports the production of 23,845 Simulators. TYPE CLASSIFICATION DATE: AUG 2024 (E49700) - SIMULATOR, PROJ GND BURST M115A2 This is a training unique item not used in combat. FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds a depot level in accordance with Army's procurement goals. FY 2026 Base procurement dollars in the amount of $5.582 million supports the production of 132,727 Ground Burst Simulators. TYPE CLASSIFICATION DATE: 1962 (E50200) - SIMULATOR, HAND GRENADE M116A1 This is a training unique item not used in combat. FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds a depot level in accordance with Army's procurement goals. FY 2026 Base procurement dollars in the amount of $1.057 million supports production of 29,410 M116A1 Simulator Hand Grenades. TYPE CLASSIFICATION DATE: 1960 (E50311) - SIMULATOR, CHEM ATTACK, YELLOW SMOKE This is a training unique item not used in combat. FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds a depot level in accordance with Army's procurement goals. FY 2026 Base procurement dollars in the amount of $0.046 million supports production of 1,904 Chem Attack Yellow Smoke Simulators. TYPE CLASSIFICATION DATE: AUG 2024 (E70600) - SIMULATOR, ANTITANK GM RKT M22 (ATWESS) This is a training unique item not used in combat. The request supports annual training and builds a depot level in accordance with the Army's procurement goals. There is no FY 2026 budget request for this item. TYPE CLASSIFICATION DATE: 1984 (E88119) - SIMULATOR, HOSTILE FIRE SIMULATOR M34 This is a training unique item not used in combat. FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds a depot level in accordance with Army's procurement goals. FY 2026 Base procurement dollars in the amount of $1.628 million supports production of 110,693 simulators. TYPE CLASSIFICATION DATE: October 2006 (E88125) - SIMULATOR, TARGET HIT (White Star) M35 This is a training unique item not used in combat. FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds a depot level in accordance with Army's procurement goals. FY 2026 Base procurement dollars in the amount of $0.721 million supports production of 49,029 simulators. The FY 2026 request supports annual training and builds depot levels in accordance with Army procurement goals. Procurement dollars in the amount of $0.225 million supports the production of 1,116 simulators. E91112 is a new start in FY 2026.
