Description
Description — Minotaur
Minotaur Family of Services (MFoS) provides interoperable systems including 1) Minotaur Core, 2) Minotaur Data Link Processor (MDLP) (information exchange), and 3) Data Distribution/Dissemination ((formally Reach/Web) including access to classified National Tactical Means (NTM)/cloud computing services) These systems ensure correlation and fusion of tactical mission data products are provided to Combatant Commanders (COCOMs), Fleet Commanders, and Tactical Commanders. MFoS enhances Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (ISR&T) for all warfare pillars in support of the Naval Operational Architecture (NOA). MFoS provides the basis for Battlespace Awareness (BA) tactical decision aids, intelligence data distribution, and battle-management coordination with improved decision agility. Funding provides Technical Data Packages supporting ISR&T capabilities, to include Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) airborne, afloat and ashore systems. Funding provides for an increase in ISR&T/TCPED capabilities, reduced operator workload, and deployment of a common system infrastructure across the Fleet as directed by the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO). The effort includes procurement and delivery of capabilities that provide Fleet Commanders access to NTM, data storage, data analytics, and an ISR&T sensor grid via Beyond Line of Sight Internet Protocol (B/LOS IP) based networks to enable Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO) and Littoral Operations in Contested Environments (LOCE).
Justification
Justification — Minotaur
Minotaur Family of Services (MFoS) systems enable an increasingly significant Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) role to close critical kill chain gaps within the Naval Operational Architecture (NOA) and bring data to the tactical edge in support of Long Range Fires (LRF) and supports the logical basis for alignment to the Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) reference architecture. FY26 Minotaur OPN funding provides analysis, Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE), integration, modernization, procurement, production, and delivery of MFoS capabilities, production software releases, and obsolescence upgrades to pace the threat. Efforts for code modernization necessary to deliver Minotaur for deployment in evolving NOA and networks airborne, afloat and ashore. Funding provides technology refresh and obsolescence of high-performance computing systems for fielding of MFoS products.
