Family of Anti-Armor Weapon Systems (FOAAWS) The Family of Anti-Armor Weapon Systems portfolio provides anti-armor, anti-personnel, anti-material, and assault capabilities to Marine Rifle Squads, Combat Engineers, and Reconnaissance Teams to effectively execute both offensive and defensive operations such as Multi-purpose Anti-Armor Weapon System (MAAWS) M3A1, which is a portable, shoulder-fired, line-of-sight, reloadable, 84mm recoilless rifle. The Fire Control System (FCS), which is a precision-mounted optic with integrated Laser Range finder and a ballistic computer to provide precision firing solutions based on ammo type, range, and other key targeting information for MAAWS engagements. The FOAAWS portfolio also includes multiple systems required to support initial training at formal schools, operational training at operational units, and unit-level sustainment support equipment. Justification

Justification — Family Anti-Armor Weapon Systems (FOAAWS)

FY 2026 Base Appropriation Request: $0.107M The FY 2026 request funds the procurement of 2 Fire Control Systems (FCS) as a technical refresh to replace existing FCS13RE Fire Control Systems with an advanced solution that will include integrated night vision and target magnification to enable Marines to more effectively identify and engage enemy targets during day and night operations. The decrease from FY 2025 to FY 2026 reflects a reduction of FCS procurements.
