Mission Small Business Innovative Research

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program requires each Federal agency that has an extramural budget for Research and Development (R&D) in excess of $100,000,000 to set aside 3.2% for SBIR. This funds R&D at small businesses. The program goals are to stimulate technological innovation; increase small business participation in federally funded R&D; foster participation by minority and disadvantaged firms in technological innovation; and increase private sector commercialization of federal R&D.

Mission USMC SBIR Program

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program requires each Federal agency that has an extramural budget for Research and Development (R&D) in excess of $100,000,000 to set aside 3.2% for SBIR in FY 2024. This funds R&D at small businesses. The program goals are to stimulate technological innovation; increase small business participation in federally funded R&D; foster participation by minority and disadvantaged firms in technological innovation; and increase private sector commercialization of federal R&D.
