Description
Description — MAGTF EW for Aviation
This line item funds modification efforts that support the Marine Air Ground Task Force Electronic Warfare (MAGTF EW) mission. These modifications will support improved capabilities to address existing and emerging threats and close gaps in MAGTF EW sufficiency and integration in the EW arena. These capabilities are designed for carriage on an expansive variety of organic air and ground MAGTF assets and include: Collaborative Electronic Attack (EA)/EW Battle Management, EW Services Architecture, and Intrepid Tiger series. MAGTF EW will support procurement of new technologies and equipment as needed to combat emerging EW technologies and systems. Budget updates reflect a realignment of funding from (V)4 to (V)3 Block II efforts to address emergent Fleet requirements for Intrepid Tiger II AN/ALQ-231 capability. Updates are detailed on the P-3a, cost elements 2.1.1.-2.1.3.
Justification
Justification — MAGTF EW for Aviation
The term Electronic Warfare (EW) refers to the use of electromagnetic (EM) energy and Directed Energy (DE) to control the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) or to attack the enemy. EW consists of three divisions: Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protect (EP), and Electronic Warfare Support (EWS). Further, some cyber-operations will be enabled by EW operations. Accordingly, the Marine Corps considers the EMS as a war fighting environment that must be fully integrated into the MAGTF Commanders scheme-of-maneuver and concept-of-fires. The concept of operations for MAGTF EW takes advantage of advancements in technology that facilitate integration of airborne and ground-based EW assets to collaboratively interact, providing the capabilities to control the EMS at the time and place of the MAGTF Commander's choosing. The FY 2026 request was reduced by $0.091 million for Advisory and Assistance Services to promote efficiencies and advance the policies of the Administration in alignment with Executive Order 14222, "Implementing the President's Department of Government Efficiency Cost Efficiency Initiative." The FY 2026 request was reduced by $0.874 million for civilian personnel to optimize the workforce in compliance with Executive Order 14210, "Implementing the President's Department of Government Efficiency Workforce Optimization Initiative."

Contractor concentration
No concentration index is published for this line. This line's high-confidence links do not clear the floor for a published concentration index — at least 3 awards across 2 contractor families holding positive obligations, with positive net linked dollars. An index below that floor is a fact about the sample, not about the market. Whatever further links this line carries are medium-confidence, and what each medium evidence path does and does not establish is set out in the methodology. Both bases are in the downloadable warehouse.
